I couldn’t help myself and had to add this to the TSPP forum, LOL. Afterall, we all know that BYU fans are out on a non-stop rampage to convince everyone in the world, especially XII conference fans, that we are terrible people.

Ute fans responded to the recent fires in Stillwater by donating over $100k to help victims of the fire. Nice job Utes!!!!

      This OSU fan is grateful:

“The Utah response to this has been nothing short of incredible. I truly cannot think of a better group of people to have in our conference. I speak for everyone out there when I say you’ll never know what it means.

Utes fans, you changed lives. And I am so, so grateful. 🧡❤️”

It’s funny and people will not believe it. During the football season, many opposing team’s fans dropped by our tailgate. They eat and have some drinks. We have great conversation and not one disagreement. A small group of byu fans came by last season and they were nice. But, they drank more beer than I could count. I know it sounds like folklore. Like they say, “Utah fans threw beer on my 97 year old grandmother.” But, I’m here to tell you, they cleaned out a cooler. The Big12 fans are starting to understand that Utah fans welcome them and treat them with much respect. All of that byu talk is BS. They can’t hide from their actions.

Can’t hide from the “numbers” either. Although they’ll try. Over here, they’re consoling themselves by dismissing the veracity of a CNBC report showing the value of the University of Utah’s athletic department continuing to rank above ybu-p’s.

There’s also going to be a backfiring effect. It’s one thing to be mistaken about a team, it’s another to come to the realization that you’ve been purposely mislead. BYU is trading about 2-4 years of Big-12 teams hating Utah for everyone dismissing them in perpetuity afterward. Honestly their modestly successful season accelerated the process because by November they became completely unable to hide who they were and people started noticing. BYU got only negative press amongst fans from the Az st game onward save for the announcers in their bowl game completely ignoring their existence.

Many so-called BYU fans (not all) hate for Utah is much deeper than their love for BYU. They hope for bad things to happen to Utah, especially their athletic teams.

I have many good BYU friends and family, but I just dismiss the Utah haters for what they are…
