Welcome to Ute Hub › Forums › Utah Utes Sports › Football › Bateman left the team?
Hearing that Cooper Bateman has left the team and won’t be at the bowl game. Not that it is a big loss or anything, but on the surface seems like a pretty uncool thing to do, even though he probably wouldn’t have played.
Wasn’t he a grad transfer? Maybe he was offered a job somewhere.
Hopefully that’s the case.
Article in the Trib was pretty vague. Just says he’s hung up his cleats and has left the team.
Cooper isn’t eligible because he didn’t pass a class (he doesn’t need it…already has enough credits for what he needs).
At the end of the day he didnt want to do the make up work to watch another game from the sideline. Can’t say I blame him.
Onlyu with the scoop as always! Thank you!
Thanks for the clarification. We really appreciate it.
Agreed, thanks onlyu.
I don’t blame him. Good for Bateman coming home. It’s fun that he finished out a Ute. Good luck to him.
So now if we lose to WV, I’ll forever wonder what if . . .
3-4 more weeks of Huntley and the offense practicing. 3-4 more weeks of healing for the dinged up players on both sides. I think WV could be shocked.
