Breakout players in 2023

Who will be the breakout players in 2023? I am not talking about true freshmen. I am talking about guys who have played, maybe even have started, but were not the stars. Mine are:

Miki Suguturaga – I think he will be a solid tight end – mostly blocking.
Yassmin – He started to break out in the last 6 games of last season. He is big, strong, and has developed good hands.
Money Parks – Again, you could say he was already breaking out. I hope to see him have many games with 5+ catches.
Medlock – I am not sure how much he will see the field because we are deep at LB. But, I am hearing good things about his development.
Who are your 2023 breakout Players?

I think Lander Barton is gong to have a huge breakout season.  The kid is a beast.

I agree, Rick.  I just thought that since Barton was the Freshman of the Year in the PAC12 – he had already broken out.  I look for Barton to have an excellent career at Utah and the NFL.

I think JJ will take the step to full on bell cow RB. One of the CBs will I’m just don’t know who it will be. I’m hoping Van will have the season we thought he was going to have last season

I agree on both counts.  However, with a loaded RB room – Jackson might have a difficult time averaging 20 touches a game.  Bernard, Curry, and Glover will get their share of carries.  But, I agree that Jackson will be RB1 and should have a 1000-yard season (barring injury).

In addition, I think a few transfers will figure in by the end of the season. If Pittman get healthy that will be noticed. Battle does have promise as does Logan Fano. Damuni may fill in like Reid last year where his best games come down the last stretch. Love to see Becker win games for us. Of the bunch, Pittman, I think, has the highest ceiling next year.
