  To be fair, there were at least two of those plays where he would have been utterly destroyed in live play. O-line still feels like it could be a bit of a concern.

    I think when you add the red team and black team together, and add in the guys who sat or didn’t play much today, it will be fine. You also have to realize that they were up against one of the best D-lines in the league. 😀

  I’m also impressed with Costelli and JQJ. While not on Brewer’s level, the future looks bright in the QB room! Go Utes!!

    I think JQJ’s first 4 snaps went something like this:
    – Sacked
    – Ripped off 20 yard run
    – Sacked
    – Ripped off 40 yard run
    
    He’s got some growing to do, but he is really exciting to watch.

  I especially liked the way he ran through his progressions, and looked defenders off. I didn’t see one telegraphed pass.

  Brewers’ problem has never been his ability, rather his physical limitations. He should honestly be medically retired considering the amount of concussions he has sustained over the last 5 years. The Utes #2 will definitely start at least a game or 2 in 2021 due to a Brewer injury.
