A thread came up on /r/cfb about BYU and Cincinnati going to the CFP.

I replied with a simple “LOL” and caught a one day ban under their trolling rule.

The thing is, that had to have been reported. No mod is gonna notice that.

I dunno. Maybe it was a Cincinnati fan.

Sorry for the meta post but I thought it was humorous.

I got a lifetime ban from cougarboard because I kept leaving posts pointing out that their new “flavor of the month” (aka, their newest recruit commmitment) only had 2 stars.  I guess they must crumble to the floor in unfathomable agony every time that gets pointed out.

I love that you pwn supporters of the school owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! Do you make fun of their ears, as well?

Do I make fun of their ears?  Where does THAT come from?  What on earth are you babbling about?  And what does the fact that ybU-p annually recruits a 2-star bonanza have anything to do with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints — a religion I happen to be a member of?  You’re one of those “born-&-raised Utah Mormons” with a heavy dose of “persecution complex”, aren’t you.  No wonder you went to ybU.

There is an interesting genetic situation in Utah which causes ones ears to stick out a bit. Some choose to have surgery to pin them back. Here is an example.

Your church owns the school. I was neither born-&-raised in Utah, nor do I feel persecuted.

              1.  That douchebag was born and raised in AZ

              2.  The only geogenetic phenomenon I’d observed in Utah is a pronounced sibilant “s” in their speech pattern.

              3.  It’s obvious that you ARE a born-&-bred Utah Mormon, who either went to ybU, or to UVU if you didn’t get in.  Either way, how embarrassing for you.

                1. Yes, Mesa, a Mormon enclave.

                2. Have you been to Utah?

                3. I joined the church on my own when I was 14 and left it during my freshman year at BYU, when I realized what it was.

Of course I’ve been to Utah.  That’s how I know about their sibilant “s”.  I also got my degree from the U, and didn’t earn it “remotely”, or in some satellite campus like Korea.

You’re a zoob, and you’re so very busted.  How embarrassing for you.

I, too, received a degree from the University of Utah, @PhiladelphiaUte. Thank you for your comments. I appreciate your input about my life. I feel thoroughly dominated by you.

Be grateful for your ban and consider whether you should make it a permanent break. Consider why you feel inclined to go to the message board of a team you ostensibly do not care about, make posts intended to rile them up, then return to the message board of a team you ostensibly care about to report about your doings.

The r cfb is about college football and not just BYU.

Fair enough – my bad, I obviously unfamiilar with it. I thought it was a reference to Cougarboard.

BYU is a weird fanbase that’s for sure. Every fanbase has their nutcases, and I would imagine Ute fans have dished out their share of vitriol at times.

Their fanbase tends to portray Ute fans as criminals, drunks, uneducated and *gasp* having facial hair and goatees.

Then there are the geeky, weird, “junior high kid types that just don’t fit in” type of posts on Cougarboard that are a combination of stupid, akward, and plain weird that is unique to them. If these types of comments were isolated I wouldn’t think much of them. But these comments are consistent and constant – everyday type of comments: Incessant comments about the Rice-Eccles west concourse incident, Ute fans and players getting caught with a DUI, and weirdness of all weirdnesses, posts about Kyle’s vestigial tail.

My favorite is how they say their Ute fan neighbors all watch porn on the TV in the living room in front of their small children. They won’t even turn it off if someone stops by.

Yea there must be a hundred versions of Ute fans being horrible people.

I forgot to add to the weird things: referring to the Pac-12 as Pac10+2.

I mean, seriously, Pac10+2, Kyle having a vestigial tail, daily posts about the west concourse – the fanbase is just geeky and weird – unlike any other. I’m probably forgetting a dozen others.
