Man, I freaking hate BYU. The stars have aligned for them so far this year. Favorable schedule. Minimal injuries. Seem to catch a lot of breaks (OSU injuries, converting on 4th & 8, etc.). Give them credit, but they’re definitely not as good as their record indicates. Utah had/has to beat them either way, but we really have to hope UCF or ASU can beat them.

They most certainly are this year. They’re playing with house money at this point. But Imma tell you what…if they play any top team from the SEC or B1G in the CFP, they’ll be launched into the sun.

No way BYU goes undefeated. And if we are fortunate and enough to make it to the conference title game, I bet we lose to Iowa State.

But IF (and that’s a big if because there is a lot of football left) we somehow make it to the playoff and get blasted… who cares. Because like you said, based on preseason expectations, we are playing with house money.

And even though TCU got destroyed by Georgia in the title game a few years ago, they still made it and had a shot. And that’s all you can ask for.

I’m just grateful for every win this season. It has been a dream and I am savoring it. I flew from out of state and took my daughter to her first BYU game tonight. What an incredible experience and memory we just created together.

Enjoy the ride! It is a lot of fun when your team is playing well, winning games and keep surprising and entertaining you. Ute fans have e had seasons like this and they are memorable!

We have also had seasons that started like BYU’s but ended ugly as well so enjoy the ride as a Cougar fan.

You are what your record says you are, and are only as good as the team you put in the field.

So many excuses for injuries and “if we only had ___, then we would be so much more explosive”.

Players do not matter if they are not on the field.

We are weak offensively and can’t score points, and our defense is does make critical plays when needed.

We are an average at best football team and that is reality. Sad but true, no matter how many times Whitt tries to say we are a “really good football team.”
