Utah’s offense needs to sustain at least three drives resulting in scores. Which to me would be a drastic improvement and statistically it means Utah gets to around 300 yards. Those scores need to be at least two touchdowns.

Cal’s defense gets takeaways. Two edge rushers with one being a familiar name of Xavier Carlton. Utah needs to not turn the ball over. Obviously those 3 sustained drives can’t result in turnovers. The offense just may not have the health combined with the stamina to keep up with wasted drives.

Utah’s defense could have a good day on that Freshman. The Cal rusher is pretty good. Wanna say he is around 5.8 yards per carry. I think running on Utah is a hard thing. You gotta pass to set up the rush. Turnovers giving Utah short field could be huge. Especially early.

I put zero money on Jackson, Rising and Kuithe playing. I also think Jackson is more impactful than the other two. Jackson is a huge deal. Getting him back will make this offense move. I know we focus on the other two but Jackson going down imo was more impactful on the offense.

So tl;dr. Utah defense holds Cal to 17and Utah offense gets to 21 I think we see a win.

Yeah, that was my thought, unless we score 21 at a minimum, we lose.

For sure. And when I say sustained. I mean fourth quarter on the road in Waco drives. If NJ gets three of those game over.

Yeah, JJ’s Baylor performance against stacked boxes and while injured shows how impactful he is. Big missing piece.

My uncertainty with Rising in February I always said JJ would be needed. It was obvious but it is clearly something we lack right now.

Eagle, I’m kind of going into this game with butterflies in my stomach because I truly don’t know what to expect. I think the defense will be able to handle Cal’s offense but will our offense be able to consistently move the ball and score? It hasn’t really happened against any competition so far this season. At some point, they kind of have to to give the defense some breathing space. Anyways, I’m hoping that the bye has done wonders for Nate’s confidence and he shows us the best parts of his skill sets.

We saw it in that fourth quarter against Baylor. Probably my second favorite memory from this season.
Ellis just spanking Chip Kelly’s fresh QB being first.

I agree. We need at least three good drives with scores. Hopefully, our D will add one more.

      Go Utes!!!
