It’s absooutely insane that a STUDENT athlete has his major dropped at the University he commited to and his transfer to a school that does offer his major isn’t automatic.
I’ve heard it’s not looking good for him this year, which probably isn’t a bad thing. He wouldn’t beat out Huntley anyway so let him sit this year and battle for the job next year.
Totally agree about his role as a first string clipboard holder this season. However, if the NCAA doesn’t grant his immediate waiver it will just further weaken the credibility of the NCAA. Martel was granted his waiver based on emotional distress of losing a coach and misrepresentations by the staff regarding his role. If that works, the “they didn’t offer my major” has to work. SMH
Would prefer he gets the waiver. Depth never hurts. He wasn’t going to beat out Huntley and maybe not Shelley, but depth is always good. He already used his RS year so he is burning a year of eligibility whether he sits or not.
