It blows my mind he is at Utah. Growing up I played waaaaay too much Tecmo Bowl. I was always the Detroit Lions for four reasons:

1- I grew up about 2 hours outside of detroit

      2- Scott Mitchell

      3- Luther Ellis

      4- Barry Sanders

I remember always having Mitchell and Sanders and Moore and BRETT PERRIMAN, Terrell’s uncle.

      Crazy. And cool.

Picked up an NES classic recently – that tecmo bowl is something else. Never played it as a kid, but what a fun game.

Those Tecmo Bowl games (I think there were three of them) are still my favorite games. I loved them. I’ll still find ways to play it online every now and then.

I might have to get a classic now.

Tecmo Bowl Bo Jackson is considered one of The most fearsome “bosses” in video game history.

Do they nerf him in recent iterations?

Wouldn’t be surprised if he was in the NES classic version.  Both him and Chiefs RB Christian Okoye were so overpowered in that game.  You couldn’t catch Bo and you couldn’t tackle Christian.

I believe the NES classic has the first game (Tecmo Bowl) which had only a dozen teams.  It included the Raiders with Bo who was a monster, but no Kansas City.  Later Tecmo Super Bowl included all 28 teams and the Chiefs had a backfield which included Okoye and Word, quite a one-two punch.  Plus Steve DeBerg could throw a pass from his end zone to the opposing end zone (over 100 yards).  TSB is still my all-time favorite football game on any platform.  Friends and I had endless epic one on one battles and you could also pick a favorite team and play a full season against the computer trying to take them all the way to the super bowl.

I grew up 30 minutes outside Detroit. Gotta give a little love to the little brothers up north. Good ole Eric Cripple I mean Hipple. Sanders is GOAT!!!
