      I know most casual fans never take their thoughts to twitter and message boards, so pre conceived notions are kind of the standard as far as perception goes. Which is why U fans get such a bad rep among Y fans.

      For all the hilarity the Max Hall fiasco created it also created a lot of vitriol. 

      It’s a very good thing to have Sitake at the Y and his friendship with Whit, they both want whats best for the athletes. Hopefully the hatred dies down the farther the programs drift apart.

      Let me say this first: I like his perspective and opinions, and feel it’s very noble and appropriate for him to point out how everyone should view the relationship between Utah and BYU.
      Now that being said…
      We are humans. Humans feed off of emotion. Seeing as how football has taken the place of cheering for Roman gladiators, it’s going to be something that drives powerful, aggressive emotions that we feed off of and enjoy experiencing.
      I’m not sure that the altruistic perspective he espouses is ever going to be popular, no matter how morally correct it may be.
