Heard that CC is back and on staff as a Grad Assistant. Super cool to have him stick around.
Sounds like the RB room is coming together but still will likely be by committee.

That’s great to hear. I was always pulling for the kid. Whitt always spoke highly of his character and work ethic. I felt bad he couldn’t seem to avoid injury. I hope coaching works out for him.

Nice. Good for Chris. It sounds like we have depth in the RB room.

“Feel a little better, a lot of guys are making strides to prove that they can help this football team, so I’m a little better now than when we initially talked,” Ganther said of his room.
Effervescent praise!!

Dude let it go already.

Haha I’m being facetious because I’ve inadvertently got a reputation for bagging on our RB room.
I hope more than anything I’m wrong. I’m just a realist.-
Kirk HerbstreetParticipant
You’re just a realist? What makes you think you are so smart that you have some inside track to what reality is or will be in the future?
You are not a realist. You are a pessimist with an over inflated sense of your understanding of reality.
-
J RocksvilleParticipant
I dunno man, he may be a pessimist, but being a pessimist or an optimist doesn’t inherently increase your understanding of reality. I think the reality is that no matter what we say, what we think, or what the coaches say, none of us actually know what’s going to happen with the RB’s at this point.
We’re all entitled to have different opinions and fears and anxieties about the upcoming season. If it was predetermined then it wouldn’t be any fun…and the betting would suck.
I am glad to see Chris Curry hanging around. He could have been that power back we’re hoping to find, but maybe his future is brighter as a coach without risking another major injury.

Except being a realist would be this position: I don’t know how good our RB room will be. We have a good track record of developing RB’s, but we have no proven elite RB.
A realist isn’t going to dog on our RB room when they have no idea what it looks like.
Also, the way he talks about our RB’s make it seem like they will fumble every play or something lol.

This is what fans do – speculate/opiniate. No biggie. Totally okay to disagree with his take.
Season starts next week!!!! Goooooo Utes!!!!!!

i think your taking it too deep. just give the downvote.
it’s all opinion. -

You’re reading quite a lot into what I’ve said. I’ve consistently said we have known commodities in our RB1 and RB2. No need to speculate about their abilities. Our overall run game will almost certainly be improved with our new options on offense. That doesn’t mean either of them have developed the ability to push the pile for two yards when we really need it. That’s my one contention—that limited scenario is the weak link IMO.
It’s unusual for Utah football not to have a guy who can do that. Like I’ve said, maybe that’s where our LB turned RB comes in, but that’s me being optimistic without evidence.
