D gave up some plays at the end after the Kuithe nonchalant on the TD. Kick the extra point to go up 20 and the other team needs to score 3 TD’s instead of 2 and a field goal.
Wilson didn’t lose it but there’s some things to work on. Even the Kuithe TD was underthrown. Kid’s a gamer but he’s not there yet. His receivers made some great plays to pad his stat sheet.
I don’t want to dog on Kuithe, but the timing was too close for it not to have woken OSU up. Add in that it’s natural to relax a bit based on the score and a dominant win turns into a nail-biter in a hurry if you aren’t careful.
D, Bernard and the O Block definitely get game balls. Singer gets his flex picture on the media guide right next to Covey’s
What’s bad about the 4th QTR is that OK ST did all of its damage in the game’s last eight minutes. Utah went into a prevent defense way too early and allowed OK ST to move down the field too quickly. I’m always mystified as to why DCs go away from what’s been working all game to defend a lead that could be illusory. Still, even with all of that, Utah only allowed 285 yards of offense to OK ST.
