LB and RB recruiting and development under these two guys have been phenomenal. Props to Whitt on hiring them.

Best part of the Troy Taylor era was him bringing McDonald with him from Eastern. Probably the last place you go to find a running back coach based on the offense they run.

The program and all of the RB’s including Moss should get some credit for continually being top notch in the running game but the talent level has definitely improved over the last 4 years. And McDonald has done a good job keeping his top 4 backs not only involved, but focused enough on technique that it appears as though the fumbleitis is a thing of the past.

Both RB and LB are going to be crowded rooms next spring and fall. Not a bad problem for a coach to have.
