ParticipantWhich of the fall incoming players are you most interested to see in camp?
This recruiting class has a lot of potential, especially at some of the positions of need. A lot of those players could be pretty big for us, but who are you most excited to see now? This excludes anyone who participated in Spring Ball such as Bateman and Ballard.
Personally, I want to see How Jaylon Johnson and Jordan Agasiva do in camp. Johnson for the obvious reasons that he is one of the highest rated prospects we’ve ever netted and could be huge for the program for years to come. I also really want to see what Shaw can do over time with that kind of talent.
Agasiva tops many of the other more flashy skill position players in my mind because of his potential to make an instant impact on the O-line. If he is somehow able to come in and claim a starting position on the line that could go a very long way towards shoring up some of the big question marks the team faces currently.

InactiveThe two defensive backs. You mentioned Johnson, and also the JC Xfer Ballard. I’m also very interested in the new RB that’s coming in.

ParticipantI agree with you, particularly on Jaylon Johnson. Can he be a day one starter at corner as a true freshman?
Any others coming in we expect to contribute right away? I don’t anticipate TJ Green playing much given the RB depth we have. Marquise Blair will be expected to play, right? There’s always somebody who surprises us. I’m thinking one of the WRs will surprise given the new offense. Maybe Vickers or Dixon?

InactiveWe also have Tareke Lewis and Marquise Blair coming in as Jr’s.
Not to mention, the cupboard is not bare. We DO have some guys that have been in the program just awaiting their turn. I’m not as worried about the Defensive Backs as some others I’ve seen posting, or as much as I am about the OL.
Also, there is the WR who switched sides, Tyrone Smith, but we should have some competitive depth in the backfield.

ParticipantIm interested in a lot of our newcomers but far more interested in how some of our guys who are already here will progress. Especially Donovan Thompson, Davir, Tupai, and LEKI. If those 4 progress our defense should be solid at worst and potentially very, very good

InactiveI expect the Defense to start out as very good, and be jaw dropping awesome by season end.

ParticipantBryan Thompson, Derrick Vickers, Jaylen Dixon and see how Tyquez Hampton has improved.
We need WR’s. We have three really good ones coming into the program. If two those three plus Hampton can crack the rotation, that would help the offense out big time.
