ParticipantThis was a particularly good one. Reminded me why I’m so pumped for him as next HC. He got me ready to run through a brick wall. 😂

ParticipantOk not a brick wall but maybe like really old particle board that doesn’t break easily.

ParticipantIt is mind boggling to think how complex college sports (football in particular with 100 students) has become so quickly. Listening to this podcast full of tough questions I am amazed at how smart, articulate, and prepared Coach Scalley is. I can imagine him in any home and the student athlete thinking I can play for this guy!! We are in good hands Ute fans. Need desperately Whitt to slide into that “consultant “ role and let Morgan run with it!!!

ParticipantExactly! He has “it.”

ParticipantI agree he has it. The problem is that mattered a few years ago. Today it’s all about how much you can pay the player and unfortunately, Utah is not at the top of the NIL game.

ParticipantThere’s no point in caring anymore then. Might as well stop watching all together.

ParticipantYou’re not wrong. Everything Utah built as far as culture and long term development, was squashed. We traded the long smoked meat dinner for a microwave dinner. Now we have to eat it as sports fans.

ParticipantCoaches literally say NIL IS all the kids and their parents want to know about. School, culture, etc. Takes a back seat.

ParticipantIt is pretty obvious that NIL is the main driver and under the table NIL as well. Oregon is not a large market but we all know that Nike has been pouring tons of money into the program for years. Now they are number 1.
