Could Utah get College GameDay this year again?

  There’s one week I have in mind: vs. Washington State on September 28th. If both teams were to win out until then, I think it could happen. Going by preseason rankings, Utah-Wazzu would be one of two possible ranked vs. ranked match ups that week (the other is Ohio State @ Nebraska). However, Nebraska could be out of the rankings by that point in the season, as they have to play @ Colorado, who won in Lincoln against Nebraska last year. If that were to happen, and both of Utah and Washington State are 4-0 (and Utah coming off of a huge road victory @ USC), that game potentially could be the only ranked vs. ranked game that week. If both are undefeated, Utah would probably be in the Top 10 somewhere, and Wazzu would probably be in the mid-teens somewhere. Both teams are also favored in each of their first four games according to ESPN’s FPI (including Utah now @ USC), which makes it more likely that they will be undefeated. Plus they could push the angle that Washington State has won four straight games against Utah. Smells like a dream College GameDay scenario. Thoughts?

  we just have to hope Nebraska loses a game because if both Ohio State and Nebraska are ranked they will go there just because its a Big10 matchup

  Yes, sometime, but that is probably too early. Only if Utah is undefeated, and later in season. Too early to work out scenarios. Just beat NIU!

  If USC is undefeated, that game is always a possibility.

  Highly doubt it. Based on the schedule and competing games I think the only likely possibility is the game at Washington if both are highly ranked. I just don’t see any compelling stories around our remaining home games unfortunately (unless Arizona State comes in undefeated or something weird like that).

      Game day loves it here. If Utah climbs and the games are crap they might just go to the Darkhorse media darling for nothing more than interest.
