Couple quick thoughts after the game

1. Utah’s coaches got outcoached tonight. Seriously we need two scores and we go for it on 4th and 2, and we run that stupid quadruple reverse. When will the hubris of those “4th down go for it calls” stop? Take the points and edge closer, put the pressure on OSU.

2. The first half of next week’s game is going to be brutal without Lloyd.

3. OSU’s OL is the real deal, they had our defense on roller skates all night long.

4. Smith should be in serious consideration for Pac-12 coach of the year.

5. After all this team has been through I’ll keep watching them. they’ve shown some great heart this year. Tonight just got away from them. Uh-hmmm – coaching.

6. We still are tied for the lead in the Pac12 South, next week’s game against UCLA is crucial. We need to weather the first half without Lloyd. Gonna need some extra crowd noise.

Smith is an excellent coach. Utes got beat at their own game. Blocked punt, red zone stops, Lloyd out of the game, a handful of plays were the difference. Was not the Ute’s night and hats off to OS, they could very well win the North.

1. Yes. Which fourth and 2 are you talking about?  It turned out to be inconsequential because Nolan fumbled Utah punched it in for 7. One of the few good defensive drives btw.  Triple reverses are cute. In like High School. 

2. Yes. But fUCLA may not have DTR. 

3. Yes again. Damn they were mauling at times and Dline man couldn’t get off blocks at all. 

4. Yes. Classy guy. Good program tons of respect

5. Love this team. 

6. Need that ASU second half crowd. fUCLA has some good players. Chip Kelly has lost his genius imo. Once they changed the rules for subs. I don’t like how OSU exposed Utah on the quick huddles. Really bothered the backers a lot.

Exactly. It’s not like Lloyd is gone for the year. He’ll be gone for one half. UCLA is beat up coming into oysters house with two loses already. We win next week we are fine. I’ve said this throughout the board. ASU will not go undefeated. They will lose at least one more game. We beat UCLA we are in good shape. Prob need to beat Stanford also. Either way IMO we can lose one more game. But not to UCLA. UCLA is a must win. We lose next week then we are in serious trouble for the south. The guys know that. They will bounce back.
