      Keneley

Are we interested in this LB from Stanford? Since he has graduated, he is available immediately. Utah recruited him out of high school. Are we interested?

I’m sure he’s a good player. But unless there’s a game changing talent that you can’t pass on even if we are already loaded at his position, I don’t think the coaches will make any additions except for at WR and in the secondary.

Didn’t Whitt say they are expecting to add guys during spring camp?

Yes, likely after Spring Camp when there’s transfer portal movement from kids finding out where they are at on the depth chart.

Utah isn’t deep at LB anymore – lost a lot of younger guys. But that’s likely not an issue for this season so much as for future seasons. I’d love to add more talent to the room, but it’s probably the spot where youth and eligibility most needs to be prioritized

We have all of our returning starters (Barton, Reid, and Damuni) and a lot of talent like Fotu behind them. Utah only lost Medlock to the portal and Furey to graduation. The LB room is still pretty deep:
        SPRING LINEBACKER ROSTER
Moroni Anae (6-1, 225, Jr. | San Diego, Calif.)
Hunter Andrews (6-3, 212, Fr. | Magnolia, Texas)*
Lander Barton (6-4, 242, Jr. | Sandy, Utah)
Brayden Beyer (6-0, 205, Fr. | Park City, Utah)*
Josh Calvert (6-2, 223, Sr. | Westlake Village, Calif.)
        Spencer Clegg (6-1, 230, R-Fr. | American Fork, Utah)
Levani Damuni (6-2, 241, Sr. | Providence, Utah)
Sione Fotu (6-0, 226, So. | West Jordan, Utah)
        Kana’i Lopes (6-3, 210, Fr. | Las Vegas, Nev.)*
        Helaman Ofahengaue (6-2, 221, R-So. | Lehi, Utah)
        Shay O’Kelly (6-1, 218, Fr. | Atherton, Calif.)
Karene Reid (6-0, 227, Sr. | American Fork, Utah)
Trey Reynolds (6-1, 233, So. | Queen Creek, Ariz.)

Keneley would be a DE for us. Only see Utah adding him if they really want playable depth. He’s got a good motor and he’s a good kid.
