Give the NFL a second try if say the Giants, Cardinals, Lions or Colts come calling? He was over-his-head his first go but it’s been over 10 years since his dumpster fire at Miami. Is he ready for the NFL or does he stay an amateur with a dynasty in Tuscaloosa? Thoughts Ute fans?

I don’t think he will ever go back to the NFL. I think he calls it a career in the next 5 years and retires from Alabama.

Thumbs down for trying to start a conversation by asking a legitimate question. Though the zoobs will always be the #1 [explicit] stain fan base in the state of Utah, some Ute fans are right up there with them. Ridiculous.

Sorry eyepatch, I’ve gotten a few lately too. I could see why people may have given me some as I was being fairly opinionated in my posts. Maybe people are over the Alabama discussion?

As for your point, Saban is in the mix for the GOAT coach. I think he stays, continues to dominate until no one can logically argue that he’s not the GOAT, then retires. I just picture him being too competitive and driven to leave it up for debate. This would then imply that he doesn’t leave for the NFL, no matter the scenario.

If you were Saban, would you leave Bama?

I think they’re paying him more than the NFL would.

As much as I would like to see him go so  the cfp committie would have to think differently I don’t think he will. I believe Bama will be the last job he has. He will retire with tons of cash, N.C.’s, and talk of being the Goat. Then Bama fans can have a huge chip on their shoulder for the next 3 decades. Ugh.

the NFL is hard and you don’t get the best incoming player’s when you are the best team. he is walking to titles right now. why leave

I respect what he has done there, but you have to wonder, if like Phil Jackson, he would be much more mortal if he was in a program that didn’t get the best from all over. Of course, he might be getting the best because he is at the program, so its hard to say.
