Dog pile

Remember as a kid (some may remember) when someone would yell dog pile and everyone would pile on one person laying on the ground. That is how our season is going. Dog pile on Rising and the coaches. Rising and the rest of the team can avoid the dog pile with a win tonight. I’m sure they are aware everyone is waiting to pile on. We see a focused team tonight and it will set the tone for the rest of the year.

We had a similar game called “Smear the Queer”. You’d gang tackle the dude holding the nerf football. Ah…the good ‘ol days when you just offended everyone and they just had to suck it up.

Punt back, over the line, two on two basketball in the driveway, kick the can, fox and the geese( in the snow). No cell phones no computers and 3 channels on tv. Life was so simple back then.

Honestly, I just want Rising to play to avoid my “dog pile”. I’m sick of the gaslighting and being “day to day” for the last year. If they lose, they lose, I’ll be unhappy about it like any loss. But I won’t yeah trash Rising for it.

These next three games are winnable and Rising can get back in rhythm and get the offense firing on all cylinders. We should be in full form going in to the BYU game. Looking in the rear view mirror doesn’t help focus on the road ahead. Time to focus on the road ahead.
