They just said on ESPN 700 he’s the new coach at Virginia

Can’t see Bronco recruiting well in that portion of the country. This could be funny.

I really find it hard to believe anyone would want this guy. Not sure what Virginia is thinking.
I suppose it is possible for the zoo to find someone even more bizarre than donko.

When it was announced Byu players were heard chanting No More Firesides.

I think people are severely underestimating what a competent coach can do at a well-resources program like Virginia.
Bronco stands up pretty well relative to past coaches at BYU and Utah. BYU’s chances of downgrading are substantial.

Well I guess Roscoe will get his chance to prove if he’s a ‘P5’ level coach. All Virginia fans want is a bowl game and I’m sure Roscoe can win at least 6 games? First he’ll want to schedule the dregs of the East, the equivalent of the New Mexico’s, Idaho’s and a gimme FCS team so there’s three wins since I believe the ACC is moving to a 9-game conference schedule next season but I could be wrong. Then you have Boston College, NC State, Syracuse (haha) and Wake Forest (Seriously, this program has a football team?) who usually aren’t very good in football. That’s 3-4 wins so there you have it folks, bowl eligibility.
Roscoe will have to get used to getting his ass handed to him by Clemson, Florida State, Louisville and possibly West Virginia or any other good ‘P5’ that Virginia might schedule OOC. Will Roscoe ever win much less play in an ACC Championship Game, probably not. His contract is for 5-years, I’m sure he’ll be let go around then.
I’m kinda sad to see him go, he’s hilarious but I think he saw that daunting schedule next season and realized that the Big XII is never going to call and made the best decision for him and his family. Better to bolt than to live in irrelevance and mediocrity in Provo where the only news you’re making is who got punched by one of your players that week. That won’t fly in the ACC.
Best of luck to that silly zoob.
