A real headscratcher as to why. Thunder, including Sam Presti, are saying only good things about the guy and the Thunder is loaded with quality young players and future draft picks. The only thing I can think of is that Donovan is not interested in guiding a rebuild. Seemed like he was a great college coach, why wouldn’t he like guiding young NBA-ers? He wants to coach veterans who can be relatively “uncoachable”? Getting too old for “rebuilds” — its not like college with the grind of recruiting and re-recruiting in today’s world.
