Drake ‘Benedict Arnold’ Toll sinks to new low,..

He is campaigning for Utah to go independent like *TSPP* did in a video released just after midnight from KCENTV.com. The headline even implied that this is a done deal. (I couldn’t stand listening for more than 5 minutes.)

Couldn’t get a link from my phone, so here’s a synopsis:

Drake Toll loudly headlining: “New rumors out of Utah that the Utes, not happy with the Big 12, could leave the conference, go Independent, and make more money.”

Story title/teaser: Utah Football LEAVING Big 12 to Go Independent, Secure College Football Playoff payout is Imp… (the last word was truncated, is “Impossible”)

Storyline text: “The potential departure of Utah from the Big 12 and a move to independence would have significant ramifications for the Utes and the conference.”

Initial screen subtitle banner: “FINALLY FED UP?”

Welcome to a Locked on Big 12 Crossover I’m Drake Toll with J T Wistercil of Locked on Utes
We are going to get into Utah exiting the Big 12 as a new Independent team in college football, how the would impact the Utes, if that decision is where they go…

He then goes on to say the source was a messsage board post from ‘a message board idiot’
Wistercil then rejects the idea, but Toll keeps pushing it as if it was real, and had credibility.
And to make it more annoying, Toll keeps shoehorning *TSPP* into the conversation.

Drake C Troll is really no different than the rest of the Big 12 echo chamber. They all blur the line between them and Zoob fans. So much so there is no line left to blur which is alright with me. I don’t want them to like me as a Ute fan or “my” school. Never wanted to be here in the first place and want to get away from them as quick as possible.

I do roll my eyes though, every time, when Wistercil sez we are all so happy to be here with them. Tall tale. I bet this guy can really tell a story when he has a few under his belt.

Why would any of us care about the perspective of some kid in his early 20s (who attends college at one of our competitors)? The growth of YouTube, podcasts, etc. has created a lot more content for people to consume…but kind of like Netflix, it’s all about quantity and not quality. Too much low quality content out there. When it comes to the media, unless it’s somebody like a former coach or player who had a really successful career, I don’t pay attention.
