Good interview. He tried to go middle ground. But I think he’s in Scalleys camp. He also got a call from Morgan to apologize and talk about it. I wonder if he did that for everyone.

The biggest takeaway I got from it was that Rowe hadn’t heard of any instances of Scalley using racial slurs during his time there (2011-2014).

Well there goes the Ryan Lacy throwdown in front of the whole team, which became just the defensive backs after teammates from the time frame didn’t coorborate.   If Eric Rowe of all people wasn’t in this meeting where the showdown occurred then who the hell was?

Didn’t Lacy say he called Scalley out in 2013 in front of the entire team?

Lacy claimed his big showdown with Scalley was in 13. The issue is the alleged slur in 2008 seems to be a he said she said. This showdown in front of “the entire team” in 2013 complete with Lacy’s hero shot of backing Scalley to the insufficient apology seems to have been embellished a great deal.

He could possibly have a vendetta and be lying about his experience for attention. Or he just doesn’t remember the exact year.

This circles back to the larger issue. It is impossible to rely on anecdotal  evidence to label an entire occupation as SYSTEMATICALLY racist.

All I remember Lacy saying was that it was in front of teammates. Not the whole team.
