Lot of encouraging whispers about how good the RB room is. Lot of excitement building around Tavion Thomas — has a great combination of size and speed. Whit even compared him to Derek Henry. Not sure what off-field issues there were that made him leave Cincinnati for the JUCO ranks, but there’s a reason teams like Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Oklahoma, USC, Oregon all wanted him out of HS.
Feels like something significant would have to change for Charlie Brewer to not win the QB job. Rising’s advantage was always time spent in the system, but coaches have made it clear Brewer’s time spent studying film and the system all offseason has put him on equal ground in that respect.
