The Pac12 is going to look like such a clusterf**k if they are the only P5 league that is not playing this fall – and rightfully so.

I do think they follow suit, yes.
-
RickParticipant
Our conference will do whatever the Big Ten, our big brother, does. You can bet your life on it.
-
-
Central Coast UteParticipant
I’m not sure if it’s up to the President or the BIG commissioner. My understanding is the university presidents made the decision the shut it down.
-
StoneParticipant
This is true. But those university presidents are under increasing pressure from fans (and a lawsuit from Nebraska players) to #letthemplay
-
utefansince79Participant
Once the state of California pretty much nixed fall sports statewide, our conference’s fate was sealed
-
Central Coast UteParticipant
^^^ this. I can’t see how the PAC 12 can play with out governor Gavins blessing
-
UtesbyfiveParticipant
I think he just banned spectators right? Might be able to play if they have none. I’m not sure though.
-
McAfeeKnobParticipant
I think this in reference to the California state university system canceling fall sports which I believe is still in effect.
-
Central Coast UteParticipant
I dont think he will allow any contact sports. You have to be within six feet of each other, so Gavin is against it.
-
UtesbyfiveParticipant
Oh brother. Such overkill.
-
McAfeeKnobParticipant
the rams, chargers and 49ers will play in California this year but not the college teams. Doesn’t make a lot of sense.
-
Central Coast UteParticipant
True, and pro baseball is playing here too. Not sure why the college teams feel like they can’t play other than liability and/or political issues.

Remember, there are two university systems in California. The State schools (SDSU, FSU, etc.) and the Univ of Cal schools, (UCLA, UCBerkely, etc.) Different boards control each. The State schools banned sports, the UC schools did not.
-
-
McAfeeKnobParticipant
Any lawyers on the board?
-
DuhwayneParticipant
What’s the question?
-

-
SorryWifeParticipant
Does anyone think the if the BIG10 back tracks that the PAC will even entertain the idea?
-
Central Coast UteParticipant
Not me. They may start in January but I don’t see fall happening at all. A lot of counties in California are still shut down and I haven’t heard much about re-opening.
-
-
RustyShacklefordParticipant
I’m fine playing without the California schools
-
PlainsUteParticipant
He’s probably hoping the BigTen plays leaving “Pelosi’s liberal left coast” Pac-12 the only P5 not playing!
-
Central Coast UteParticipant
Lots of blue in the BIG though
-
PlainsUteParticipant
Also “battleground” states: Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania.
Trump is not going to win Calif, Oregon, Washington.
-
Central Coast UteParticipant
Good call
-
UtMtBikerParticipant
Or Mich, Wis, and Penn
