Former Michigan QB transfers to UCLA:

Wilton Speight will be transferring to UCLA, per ESPN. Sounds like he won the starting job (twice) at Michigan before getting injured both times. From the footage I remember of him, he’s a real pocket-guy and doesn’t run much. Seems like an odd transfer into Chip Kelly’s system. I’m not too worried about it.

I hope he gets the start. Modster is way more athletic and could potentially improve his passing game under Kelly. Speight does not do well with pressure at all, and although he has a good arm, he will throw it up for grabs a lot, which should have our backfield licking their chops if he wins the job.
