A few years ago a freshman QB by the name of Jayden Daniels came to RES. He played for ASU. He was horrible and I remember thinking this guy is highly touted. By who ? He could run but couldn’t throw. Two years ago Dante Moore a 5* from Detroit came to RES with UClA and same results. Cam Ward was horrible at WSU his first year (transferred from smaller school).

Daniels and Moore transferred to get a new start since they were so bad their freshman year. Ward transferred for his senior year. Jury is still out on Moore since he will get a shot at Oregon next year. Daniels wins the heisman and Ward is the favorite so far this year.

Freshman QBs need time to develop. The only way to develop is by playing in games at game speed. Let’s be patient with Wilson. He will get better. Getting better doesn’t win many games unfortunately.

Completely agree. Let’s hope Wilson doesn’t transfer.

I don’t see the physical tools in Wilson that I saw in a Jayden Daniels or Cam Ward. Both of them had a lot more raw physical gifts in terms of arm strength/talent and mobility. In Wilson I see a kid who has grown up being spoon fed the QB position and I’m not convinced his ceiling is all that high.

I agree with physical skills it’s the development and decision making I was referring to. They all played bad regardless of skills.
