This is going to hurt the U. College athletics is moving towards pay for play and making student athletes, particularly football players employees. In fact, that’s ramping up faster than expected and is already a topic of discussion this off-season. Even the NCAA is trying to facilitate it. I can’t say I’m surprised the Utah state legislature would do this, though. It would hurt the U, which in their minds helps the TDS since it won’t affect them.
