There’s now lots of former players and recruits coming forward in agreement that Morgan’s behavior was problematic (at best). Just in that article:

      – Ryan Lacy
      – Mo Lee
      – Damian Payne
      – Sean Smith
      – Boobie Hobbs
      – Dom Hatfield

Utah Football Players Speak Out After Morgan Scalley Gets Suspended For Racist Language

This could end up being far worse than we thought. I’m left hoping it doesn’t permanently cripple Utah’s football program.

So to be clear. I’ve read the tweets. And many are saying “they aren’t surprised” Payne states he has info but won’t get into it. Only one LACY has claimed a racial slur was actually used against him. It seems that there may be an issue of ignorance regarding African American culture and how he speaks or interacts with them other than using racial slurs. Any racial sure at any time is bad. But there are two sides to everything which the investigation likely will uncover. The bigger issue as someone posted on here yesterday is that we know 100 percent that that he texted Shaw that language while at work. Accusations by other players aside (which may or may not be accurate not saying they are or are not one way or the other that language was used) is one issue the fact that he admitted to using that language once in a text while at work is another. Either way it doesn’t look good. I don’t believe this is a systemic thing.

Within the Utah program. At least I would hope the program was better than that. If not. Clean house.

There are also lots of former players, including the player who was sent the text with the slur, disagreeing with what those players say.
