Well, due to injuries, etc. – not close at all.
Here are the top 12 from last summer:
Cam Rising – Didn’t play
Kingsly Suamatia (BYU) Played but BYU’s Oline was terrible. He was not a top-ten player.
Brant Kuithe – Didn’t play
Cole Bishop – He is in the right spot.
Ja’Quinden Jackson – Due to a nagging injury – he was not a top-ten player IMO.
Karene Reid – He is in the top ten for sure.
Isaac Rex (BYU) – Probably didn’t have a top-ten season, but he didn’t have a bad season.
Kedon Slovis (BYU) – Definitely not a top-ten player.
Lander Barton – He belongs in the top-ten even though he missed 4 games.
Keaton Bills – He’s a top-ten player.
Simote Pepe – Did not get a lot of playing time due to injury.
Sataoa Laumea – He had a top-ten season.
So, six of the top 12 belong there. The others – not so much. The big misses were Vaki and Ellis. They didn’t even make the top 25. They probably should be one and two.
