Got sucked into a twitter smack off with some zoob who of course can only resort to stadium size smack since other stuff like wins and losses isn’t relevant. According to him Rice Eccles is “rarely sold out.” I’ve been to every game in the last probably 10 years but 1 or two, and they’re always anouncing the sellout string. What is it?
Entering the 2016 season, Utah has played to 38-straight sellouts (35 which exceeded the seating capacity) in Rice-Eccles Stadium extending back to the 2010 opener against Pittsburgh. In its first 18 years, there have been 56 total standing-room-only crowds.
Assuming every game last year was a sellout, that would put it at 44, right?
I’m sure he’ll counter with “but there’s empty seats”, thus proving that he doesn’t understand what “sold out” actually means.
Just like you should t mess with a Sicilian when death is on the line, you shouldn’t argue with a zoob on twitter when their fictional version of football reality is on the line.
