Twitter Rumor -
ladyinredParticipant
If it didn’t come from Onlyu, it didn’t happen.
-
salty-uteParticipant
Not surprised about Huntley, he took a beating this weekend. Put EVERYTHING out there for the team.
-
Larry BParticipant
A rumor from a guy that has 11 followers? I’ll wait until I hear something more reliable. If it’s true though, the season would be over. No Moss or Huntley? Time to pack it up.
-
popbirchParticipant
What is moss’s injury? Is he really out of for good?
-
EagleMountainUteParticipant
AC seperation he will be back.
-
-
EagleMountainUteParticipant
Yeah Onlyu or that other guy on Twitter that posted Moss cast removal. Only reliable guys.

That feeling when the days after a loss starts to remind you of the days after last year’s Arizona State game…. smh. Been there, done that, #UteNation has this, but stay tuned.-
EagleMountainUteParticipant
Well f**k

I have no idea what this post actually means. I’ll only believe Huntley is out if I hear it from ONLYU,m or read it in a Kragthorpe article.
If it’s true, we are not likely to hear about it in Kyle’s presser tomnorrow…
-
astUTEModerator
… won’t hear about it in Kyle’s presser, unless it is a season ending injury, that is.

Shelly is more than serviceable.
-
EagleMountainUteParticipant
Lisk is two.
-
Itacoatiara22Participant
I know he’s listed as two and got a couple snaps. I highly doubt they don’t put Shelly in during conference play.
-
EagleMountainUteParticipant
Practice is important. Something may be up. Kind of bulls**t if you ask me if they put him in after Lisk has earned it.
-
YergensenParticipant
If demoting Lisk is kinda bullsh!t then demoting Shelley, who helped win you your first and only division championship is total bullsh!t. We’re really going to hand the reins over to Drew Lisk based on practice performance…practice? Pretty sure Shelley is the better player and we owe him some loyalty.
-
UteThunderParticipant
Why not? We handed the reins over to Huntley prior to Troy Williams’ senior season based on nothing but practice after Williams won 9 games for us as a junior.
-
YergensenParticipant
Why? Shelley is proven AND the younger, better talent. Huntley was promoted as the younger, better talent. That makes sense. You suggest we promote the older, lesser talent. That doesn’t make sense. If it were Cam Rising, different story, but it’s not.
-
UteThunderParticipant
Better talent? Based on what, last year?
If Lisk is playing better than Shelley in practice right now, then maybe that shows Shelley has hit his ceiling while Lisk continues to improve. Maybe Shelley hasn’t been putting in the work. Maybe the lights went on, as the coaches like to say, for Lisk. Who knows?
Whatever the reason might be, the coaches think Lisk is the better option so that is who should play. Your comment about executive management is quite ironic considering your willingness to ignore the two players’ performance now in favor of Shelley’s performance from almost a year ago.
-
TexanUteParticipant
Shelley was good enough to win the Pac 12 championship game last year but he was victim of the single worst display of receiver dropitis I have ever witnessed. Seems every pass he threw bounced of a Ute’s receivers stone hands.
-
-
-
EagleMountainUteParticipant
Exactly @Utethunder totally spot on. This is egg in the face time if Lisk is passed over.
-
YergensenParticipant
So, your philosophy is to compound mistakes just to save face. You have executive management in your future.
-
UteThunderParticipant
Whit’s philosophy of “No one’s job is guaranteed from one week to the next” would lose all credibility if Lisk had been named the 2nd string QB based on how he has practiced recently and then Whit puts in Shelley instead.
-
EagleMountainUteParticipant
Lisk as the 2 was two prong. He earned it and hell yes it was to motivate Shelly. All positions are up for grabs and the coaches at Utah will take you out if your focus isn’t there.
-
-
-
-
-
-
Larry BParticipant
Yeah I don’t know how you can tell Lisk he’s the number 2 guy and then when there’s an injury say “just kidding”. If Lisk earned it in practice then he’s got to be the guy.
-
-
RiseasUtesParticipant
No, he is older than that

TrailgoatParticipant
Man…I would love to see Moss back. Part of me hopes he calls it a college career and stays healthy for the NFL. What good will coming back do at earliest for UW game for a lower grade AC separation it that’s what he has? He has more than proved his worth as a high draft pick. Why risk it. The dude is already taking a beating behind Utah’s weak Oline and he’s only played one full game at BYU.
-
TednabParticipant
…well if the Trojans third string can do it against the top pac 12 D .. I am sure Shelley or Lisk will be just fine.
-
CharlieParticipant
Moss needes every game this year he can get, needs to show bounce-back from lumps taken. He will want every opportunity he can find.
Lisk may have caught Shelly one week when Shelly was not focused. There has been time since and still time to go to determine the current #2. Coaches are on it.
-
OnlyuParticipant
Lisk was the 2 for the 3rd straight week at S.C. He’s earned everything in front of him. If the coaches started Nacua over Thompson would you trust that? Dixon over Simpkins? We wouldn’t say a thing here…hell most wouldn’t notice. Point is you trust the coaching staff, last weeks prep notwithstanding, so why wouldn’t you trust them now.
Probably opening up a can of worms with that statement after Friday but all kinds of things go on in the life of a 20 year old kid. Focus and desire changes based on family or social life, injuries occur etc. and that’s not a shot at Shelley. I personally believe this staff will do everything in it’s power to put the team in the best position to win…at least in their view. Lisk or Shelley is their call based on all of the info they have and most here don’t. For what it’s worth I have full confidence in Drew Lisk. Those around the program know what a good player he is. Bright, competitive and talented…I’m good either way if Tyler went down.
-
YergensenParticipant
Are there coaching staff decisions I don’t trust or others distrust (see Blackmon), without a doubt. Do coaches make mistakes with their decisions just like anyone else, without a doubt. Forgive me for doubting a decision or disagreeing with a philosophy that demotes a kid who has proven it on the field in big games versus a kid that earned it on the practice field. Seems to me that you stand to lose credibility and more of it when you take a proven and arguably better talent off out for a guy that has worked really hard in practice for a couple weeks. You better be sure that your decisions will win games. We all know Shelley can win games, none of us know, including the coaching staff, that Lisk can.
-
EagleMountainUteParticipant
Shelley has also lost games. Look at what Fink did you have to trust your practices and coaches.
