I was all in on the Rams today due to Gay, Weddle, and Burgess. So thrilled to see them get a ring! Congrats to the Rams and our Utes!
-
Extra MediumParticipant
I’ll take LA over Ohio…and nobody in LA really cares about the Rams.

Walk off Super Bowl for a Utah legend. What a way to go out.

I love Utah football, but Utah players had zero impact on the outcome of the game.
-
RedbloodParticipant
Weddle had a huge hit on Cincinnati’s last series that stopped Tyler Boyd 1 yard short of a first down on first down. The Bengals ended up not getting a first down there and the game was over. Had he made the first down on first down it changes the play calls and you never know. It turned out not only to be a big hit, but a big play. All with a torn pectoral.

You got me, one good hit early in the game. Three rings is all that matters! Way to rep Orem, Utah Matt Gay.
-
Ute2Participant
Safe to say starting safeties who call the plays always have a major influence on the game.
Maybe Not the most flashy game. -
Ute DubParticipant
Weddle calls all defensive audibles, Matt Gay scored some points. How was your bowl game in Shreveport?
-
Ute DubParticipant
Is Shreveport nice this time of year? What about during Christmas time?
-
Central Coast UteParticipant
The fourth quarter is early?

Gilly BoyParticipant
Matt Gay’s hit some big field goals. Eric weddle had a very big stop on the bengals last possession. Yes the Ute players were not game MVPS but still had impact
-
UtesbyfiveParticipant
Did the Rams not win by a field goal? WTF?
-
homerParticipant
Weddle was the Rams defensive play caller. Watch the playoff games he played. He was constantly calling out what the opponents would do offensively.
He was a huge contributor.
-
utefansince79Participant
Eric brought many years of knowledge and experience at the college and NFL level and this was certainly a factor in him being given the responsibility of relaying the defensive calls to his teammates.
People thinking he didn’t contribute because he didn’t have a monster game consisting of a pick-six, a forced fumble, and/or several sacks weren’t really paying attention.
-
-
Extra MediumParticipant
As opposed to all you did and have done…
-
Central Coast UteParticipant
Weddle had a good game as did Gay. To say zero, is pretty short sighted and ignorant.
-
UtesbyfiveParticipant
It’s pretty zoobish.

Oh the irony…

-
CrazyforuParticipant
You are dumb.
-
chinngiskhaanParticipant
Did you even bother watching the game? Weddle played all game with a torn pectoral… and had tackled a guy 1 yard short of a first down… and that was the last possession of the game for the bengals.
also, they won by three points… Matt gay hit a field goal. How does that translate to not having an impact when his contributions were quite literally the difference between winning and losing.
GTFO dude.
-
Central Coast UteParticipant
According to this guy, the last possession is early in the game.

PhiladelphiaUteParticipant
Sounds like a certain little somebody here is super butt-hurt over 3 Utes winning Super Bowl rings in a game no Yner even suited up for.
Weep on little bro. It’s your brand.
