It started at -3.5 for Ok State. It then got as high as -2.5 for Utah. Then, on Wednesday it went to -2.5 for OSU in a matter of minutes. Then today, it was back to Utah -2 and it sits now at -1 for Utah.

I guess what it all mean is that there is a lot of betting interest in this game and some people have been putting down big money on the game.

I really don’t care a lot because I don’t bet on games. But, it is interesting.

      Go Utes!!!

Obviously Rising’s health is the key factor. To be fair, I’ve heard pundits, analysts and betting guides all over the place on this.

      Pros for Ok State:

      Gordon is talented and due
Bowman and his WRs have played exceptionally well
Stillwater is a tough place to play
Utah has consistently struggled on the road in big games
Rising may be hurt or limited

I can see the combo of those factors playing into a high confidence level for serious bettors.

On the flip side, many guys are taking Utah.

      The better defense
Stronger running game (this season at least)
      Rising more consistent, better playmaker

This is obvious but I think it comes down to the Ute DL vs. the Ok State OL. Need to pressure Bowman and slow Gordon down. Utah’s DL / edge is fantastic but so is Ok State’s OL. I can see gamblers all over the map on which side they fall on.

I was listening to Hans Olsen interview an OK St. Beat writer today, and he said that’s how OK St. Games have been going all year. I guess it has nothing to do with injuries or rumors. They’re just getting a lot of people betting on their games either way.
