He’s done a lot for the program before he became head coch, but I believe he is the #1 reason why Utah has fallen from being a top 10 program. He put all his eggs in one basket (Rising) and since Rising has been out the football program has been working on life support ever since.

Whitt may not be all to blame, but the offense since he’s been head coach has been horrible with exception of the good Rising years. Blame can’t be put on the refs for the bad call on 4th and 10 against BYU. Utah never scored in the second half and whose fault is that? Utah’s!

If Whitt stays, I see the program falling further into decline where it can be a challenge for Scalley or the next HC to restore it to the former Pac-12 Conf championship caliber teams. Plus, we’re in the Big-12 and competing against BYU for top notch in-state recruits. BYU is now the best football team in the state of Utah, and recruits are gonna be attracted to that. Utah has regressed a lot since Rising’s injury and move to the Big12. Not a good outlook moving forward. I strongly want Whitt to retire and let Scalley have a chance. Mine as well start the rebuilding of the program next year and give Scalley the chance. Go UTES!

BYU won 5 games last year and ended the season on a 5 game losing streak. Yes they are having a very good year but this dramatic hyperbole about our program completely falling off a cliff and we are little brother now needs to stop. Earlier this year I posted about how Utah has been in CFP rankings the 8th most in CFB and is top 10 in NFL development. We’ve been the much superior football program to BYU before this season. We will bounce back. Programs have years like this. Our foundation is strong. Go Utes!

Huntley/Zach Moss team had a really good offense in 2019. Put up 52 against Oregon State, 49 at UCLA, 45 against Colorado, etc. And scored in the 30s in most of their other games.

There was a stretch that season that was, in my opinion, the best Utah Football has ever looked. Regularly Beating up on the PAC 12 teams by 30 – 40 points.

What a 1-2 punch, Tyler and Zach. Loved those guys. I met Zach and talked to him for a few minutes years ago when he was here. Super mellow dude.
