I like Utah against UW

On the positive side:

Our offense averages about 30 yards more per game against very similar competition.  We typically have called off the dogs or our numbers would be much higher.

Our defense has shown much better than UW.

UW lost 10 starters on defense this season.

Our defense is on a roll.  UW is not the best offense we have faced IMO.  Their defense is good, but this is not the same D we faced last season.

On the bad side:

Petersen!!!  He seems to have Whitt’s number.  He needs to get that monkey off his back.

Our kicking game.  We have problems and UW has a very solid kicking game.

IMO, we have what it takes to beat UW.  We need to avoid mistakes and turnovers because UW is a good (not great) team.  They are well-coached and coming off a bye week.

You forgot another negative, which is W is coming off of a bye week.  They have two weeks to prepare for us.

As far as our offensive production goes our 2nd and 3rd teamers have played a cumulative game or two, just to back up your point. For that matter the same goes for defense but slightly less overall time.

 

But.. . I can’t be confident against washington, it’s just not possible.

Given how we’ve been able to sub out a lot in the last 4 weeks, the extra week of watching our tape may not be as valuable to UW as some might think…unless TH isn’t healthy. In which case we have other things to worry about.

Utah sucks in November until they don’t.
Petersen owns Whitt until he doesn’t.
Anything can happen and Utah is playing in November, in Husky stadium against a very talented, well coached team coming off a bye week.

This has all the makings for major Ute disappointment.
