I think the Utes will be okay

I might be naive, but Utah has established a strong football brand and we were ranked 11th in all sports last season. We have a strong TV market and fan base (19,000 showed up in Gainsville last September). We have the Delta hub here – making it easy for other teams to get here. We have sold out every football game for over a decade. We have amazing facilities. The University of Utah is respected academically and the vast majority of our athletes graduate. I gotta believe we will land on our feet when everything is said and done.
I am not suggesting that our administration should sit back and wait and I don’t believe for a minute that they have been doing that.
I have no inside sources or information. But, I do feel strongly that we will land on our feet. I am not going to worry about something I cannot control.

I was one of the most optimistic Ute/PAC fans in existence, I thought the remaining teams would stick together come hell or high water. 

After today I’m not so optimistic, I think the coffin only needed a few more nails and they got one today. I only hope Utah isn’t the Titanic band who bravely played on as the frigid water swirled around their feet.
