I think I agree with Miami. I have to take emotion out of this during the off season and just be a realist. Money and the lack of rules has killed this sport. Kids getting paid and maximizing there eligibility is great. But, the lack of rules and structure is killing the sport. I will still be there to support in the fall. But when guys sign and then leave and then say they are coming back and then leave it is just too much.
I think overall we will be fine. But I hate to say this it seems like the only team that values loyalty anymore is BYU. Players stay because they actually want to be there. we used to have that culture here but have flown to close to the sun when it comes to the type of guys we have shifted too in recruiting.
I think we can still compete because of the culture and development once guys actually want to be here but it is going to be tough if BYU guys all remain due to the desire and culture of wanting to build up the church and deliver for the school. NIL has killed Utah and many many other schools see Utah State but helped BYU.
