Is anybody going to correct this announcer? He’s said Ike at least 5 times. Pretty funny actually

      Why correct him?

Wilson is by far the worst QB I’ve ever seen play. He is so inaccurate. It’s wild. He misses so many easy completions.

Isaac + Zack = Ike? Kind of funny

Ike is playing better than Isaac did. So there’s that.

Hahha. Tony I just came in to say the exact same thing.

On that pic he just threw they called him Isaac before… that was a bad omen. They need to stick with Ike.

He should have just thrown that one away.

Pretty sure Ike is a common nickname for Issac. He and the announcer must be good buddies

Johnson can’t stop himself when it comes to trying to invent his own names/nicknames for people

IW is not our worst qb of all time. He’s probably our youngest rawest True freshman we’ve been starting of all time though.

Little Jordan Wynn was much more prepared to go as a true freshman. I feel confident that Huntley could have gone in 2016 if needed. Didn’t Travis Wilson get forced into action as a true freshman?

People need to stop apologizing for Wilson. This is the same kid that most were convinced was not only going to put up 3 stellar years before going to the league, but would be ready to go opening day. At this point, he’s an average QB who is as likely to throw a pick as a TD. Who is as likely to drill a laser into a tight window as two hop an open receiver 10 yards away from him.

Quite frankly, the only reason Wilson isn’t getting the Barnes treatment from the fanbase is because of that recruiting ranking.

The reason why so many in our fan base are protecting him is because they want to dunk on BYU fans in church because of Zach Wilson.

And they are terrified Ike will transfer to BYU and be good.

fascination with those 3 letters sure do cause a lot of problems in the Utah fanbase. never have I ever seen a situation where a fanbase is okay with their own misfortune as long as a specific other’s is worse.

I have zero confidence in Utah’s ability to evaluate and teach a qb anymore.

Wilson could be better if not for a lot of things. Frankly won’t put it on the players as it stands now because the coaching is just awful on that side of the ball.

That td to Singer shows the potential- but he is beyond raw and over his head at the moment. I do see a lot of possibility with him, but it’s gonna take a few years to get there.

The problem is the immediate comparison with Rose who is much more polished and has as good or better arm. And wondering what it was people were seeing in practice that showed different than what has been obvious in game play.

On Rose’s picks, I can make a case that the receiver was at fault. Most of Wilson’s were entirely on him. Rose was more decisive and consistently puts the ball where his receiver can make a play. At this point I fail to see how Wilson is a legitimate option to start over Rose next year, assuming health. And both need a veteran option not named Cam Rising to compete with for the job.

Also, Wilson can’t throw an accurate 5 yard swing pass or screen pass.

And he’s had a month off to get better and he looked the same.

It’s not that Wilson sucks. There is talent there.

It’s that he can’t do the simple things, like throw an accurate ball to a screen receiver, throw an accurate swing pass to a RB or see a wide open receiver cross right in front of him and throw the receiver the ball.

How can you do anything else when you can’t do those things?

I expect (assuming everyone stays, which isn’t a guarantee) a 4 way competition next season.

          Transfer QB as the favorite
Brandon Rose as the guy who has played well in short bits, but has been hurt
Isaac Wilson as the guy who struggled as a freshman, but hopefully put work in the offseason
And then the true freshman also at least getting to be theoretically in the mix….but not realistically

Ok but let’s just look back. He’s played in all the games now.

      So does he look better?

I don’t think so. I think he looks worse. Defenses gave him credit for things that now they know he can’t do.
