when has a senior qb that was legitimately good athis level ever transferred?

Charlie obviously had some arm talent but he definitely had his shortcomings. His pre-snap eval was nowhere near what it needed to be. Yes, the OL was bad, but he missed several opportunities to identify zero coverage blitz and hithe man beater route. Instead he just auto pilot dumped ito the flat. Especially with off coverage in the slots, thats egregious.

Gardner Minshew, but I agree with you.. In general grad transfer QBs just don’t seem to work out.

Cam Rising is Utah’s version of Gardner Minshew #Thiccboi7

Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, Russell Wilson, Nathan Peterman, Vernon Adams, Gardner Minshew, Ryan Finley plus a couple P5->G5 guys. Besides Adams (who had injury issues) they all did well enough to be drafted.

D’Eriq King is still in progress at Miami, but has done fairly well as a grad transfer

I would argue that one and done grad transfer qbs are just not Utah’s thing, other schools have found success with them.

WRONG! WHAT ABOUT MAX HALL? HE TURNED OUT TO BE A PRETTY DARN GOOD TRANSFER QB FOR THE COUGS.

Hall was a mission transfer not a grad transfer. I know reading is hard for zoobz, but come on.

Oregon’s QB Brown seems to be working out for them

The biggest issue is the coaching staff has to not default to the previous experience of that guy, let him compete. But don’t award him the position.
