The Utah Athletics post says it all, I’ll add my thoughts.

Cleadus is true Utah Man, was a committed part of Rice Eccles stadium admin. (fun fact, he always worked for Utah football, as his father did also). More than that, he stands out as a man that took care of those around him, always giving to of himself to his community. You couldn’t meet a better man, and none more committed to Utah football.

A tragic heath condition took him too young, suddenly. He leaves behind 3 kids, all high school or younger. Our daughters are close friends, my wife went to school with him. And while family loss is always hard, this one hurts more than typical.

Against this backdrop I started to read the latest football news, transfer portal / NIL drama, Heisman discussion, etc – seems everyone trying to “get theirs”. No blame to them, but it stood as a stark comparison to a man who simply did what was right, whenever it was needed by those around him, and was committed to his community, living the Utah Football values.

Our community lost a great man.

For those that can help his family, gofundme below.

I went to school with Cleadus, I’m a few years younger. He was good friends with a few of my cousins and friends.
Whenever I’d see him around or at games he’d say hello. Friendliest, kindest guy ever. I’m so sad for his young family and wife. He was Utah to the core. He will be truly missed!

The athletic department had a moment of silence for him before the start of Saturday’s basketball game. My condolences to his family.
