Tony, I think there’s a bug or glitch with the inbox. It shows I have an unread item in the inbox but I don’t.
Using and iPhone.

I have the same. I’m on Android, Samsung specifically if it matters.

This may be remnants of the bot that sent out a bunch of messages. I attempted to delete all the messages and notifications, but may have missed some. I’ll try to clean this up for you guys. If anyone else has this issue let me know.

Ok I’ve reset the unread count on you two’s messages. Let me know if that fixed the issue. And if anyone else has a new message notification but no new messages then you are in the same boat. LMK.

Thanks @tedlasso I appreciate the comment. There are many aspects to running this board that I didn’t anticipate: trolls, spam, bots, DDoS attacks.

I may have to do a major wipe of the message system if there are many more that have the issue, rather than playing whack-a-mole.

UPDATE: I did some sql queries and found there were another 380 records that needed to be fixed. Damn you, bots… So now all 380 have been “fixed.” I hope this means that nobody else will have this issue. Can I get a confirmation or two from someone? That would be great.

Hey, I’m not sure if it will help, but mine still showed unread inbox until I logged out of the app and back in.

I’ve had that happen a few times on my iPhone too. What usually helps is closing the app completely and then opening it again. Sometimes it just needs a refresh. If that doesn’t fix it, see if there’s an update for the app—sometimes that does the trick.

Yeah I may revisit the home screen and the logic that checks for new messages. It needs a refresh once in a while.
