      Even in Ute gear the Covey family look like classic coogs.

        Not to worry.  Reasonable utah county folks can effectively rehibilitate themselves quite well.  The ute fanbase includes great numbers of folks that because of their Utah roots have much in common folks down there.  In the 80s, Salt Lake Valley contained many times the number of Y fans than U fans.  Work places were very much a majority Y fans.  People did not move in and out, the now large U fanbase grew for a large part out of that common pool.  It was interesting to watch.
