ParticipantIf true, with his improvement in last half of year, would make this a big blow I think.

ParticipantMaybe he’ll become an ice skater. He seems to be good at it.

ParticipantCalled this one too. I don’t believe we lose anyone else. If we do we are in serious trouble. But I think this is the worst of it.

ParticipantI hate to admit it but I brought it up to my friends who works with the team and they didn’t deny nor confirm it…aka not looking good.

ParticipantOut of all those who realistically I thought would transfer Jones and Jayce. Jones, who cares. Jayce is a senior, likely graduated and hasn’t even sniffed the tourney. Prob wants a guaranteed chance to play ala Reid Travis. I hasn’t shown the ability to get us there for a while. Not even close. For three years.

KeymasterHe just started to seem to “get it” at the end of this season. Oh well. Best wishes to him, but I won’t miss his foul shooting and missed layups.

Participantyeah… I don’t know what to say…
Sorry to see him go? uh, I guess?
He played good for a couple of games at the end of the season. He’s been one of the most disappointing recruits I can remember. He was supposed to be the next Jakob Poeltl, only this time, more polished from the get go. He was a big time get for us. Turns out, he was just a tall kid with zero basketball skill. He began his career having one of the ugliest free throw strokes I’ve ever seen, and he ended his career with an even worse percentage his senior year. There is nothing I hate more about basketball players than being a consistently crappy free throw shooter. Not improving at free throws equates to not working on free throw improvement IMO. I’m fairly certain that, given an hour a day for about a month to practice, I could shoot a better percentage using only my off hand.
40% smh, absolutely pathetic. I haven’t played consistently for over a decade (a couple times a year maybe), and I could hit 80 out of 100 free throws no problem without a warm up.

ParticipantFor a minute I confused Jayce Johnson and Jaylon Johnson our stud corner back. I was baffled at how people weren’t upset about this. Our star cornerback! Probably a top 2 round pick next year. You guys aren’t hurting.
Jaylon Johnson would be a huge loss.
As for Jayce. He was ok. Not great. Good luck to you.
Seems like Larry loses half his roster every year.

ParticipantI’ll be glad he’s gone just to avoid this sort of confusion.

ParticipantThe only reason this is bad is because we need seniors on our team. He set the defensive energy for the team… That’s really the only positive thing there is to say about Jayce the basketball player (or more accuratenly Jayce, the tall guy standing under the basketball hoop).

ParticipantI feel Jayce was very important on defense. How many times did we watch him leave the first half of a tight game in foul trouble then see the opponent open up a big lead with him sitting on the bench?
