Is Lawson Lovering a “True” Senior with no 5th year possible?

  He’s been playing really well. Just curious if he has the option because of a COVID year, etc. In my opinion, his play on defense and improvement on offense is a big reason the running Utes are trending upwards.

  I’m not certain that Lovering qualifies for a “Covid Year”, since he was still in high school when the policy was implemented. My understanding is that the “Covid Year” exception only applies to individuals who were college athletes during the 19-20 and 20-21 seasons. Lovering didn’t start college at Colorado until 21-22.

  Yeah I think Lovering is out of eligibility after this year. He was a year late for the covid year.
