Pass. I’m going to catch heat for saying this but I’d rather have Dampier. Arnold couldn’t elevate his team despite having the talent advantage. His QBR is poor. Yah his TD to INT ratio is better than Dampiers but 6 of his TDs came vs Maine and Temple. He’s not as explosive as Dampier, especially on the ground. I’ll pass on Arnold.

What talent advantage did Arnold and Oklahoma have against SEC teams?

Arnold is surrounded by loads of talent and still wasn’t enough. Dampier is at New Mexico. Dampier himself carried that team. Oklahoma carried Arnold.

And Arnold played much more talented competition.

Cool. I’d be fine if he transfers in but if he’s the only QB Utah lands in the transfer portal, that would be a letdown imo.

      Source of rumor???

Quick internet search gives me the below tidbit – sounds like other SEC schools are his first choice. Be interesting if any are going to be buyers:

“According to On3’s Pete Nakos, Arnold is looking to make a splash to advance his college football career. His list is relatively small. All three teams reside in the SEC, but the most eye-popping would be playing for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs. Other possibilities are Mississippi State and Auburn, two programs that failed to qualify for a bowl game at 2-10 and 5-7, respectively”.
