      Apparently the Beavers’ signal caller is now a Heisman candidate after scoring 6 TDs in Pasadena (OK, I’m going to take that Heisman reference as tongue-in-cheek), UCLA defense is that bad or ???.

        Some stats from ESPN

        WSU QB Anthony Gordon

        vs UCLA:  41/61, 570 yds, 9 td, 2 int, QBR 84.3

        vs Utah:  30/49, 252 yds, 1 td, 2 int, QBR 35.1

        Jake Luton:

        vs UCLA:  18/36, 285 yds, 5 td, 0 int, QBR 98.6

        vs Stanford: 27/39, 337 yds, 1 td, 0 int, QBR 71.0

         

        I think it is fair to say that UCLA’s defense helps a QB’s numbers.  They appear to be awful.  I think that Utah’s defense should be at least as strong as Stanford’s.

      It will be a different story against the Utes D. Hopefully they’ll take it as a challenge and shut him down.
