I just listened to a great podcast (actually only 1/3 done right now) where John Madsen describes how he became a Ute and Oakland Raider despite not having played high school football. He credits Urban for much of his success in life. It’s a fascinating listen and really shows the greatness of Urban’s motivational ability. Not sure yet about the last hour of the podcast but the first 30 minutes is excellent.

I think he’s the one I listened to on ESPN 700 on Friday talking about the speech UM gave the team when he stopped by a few days ago. Said it reminded him of when things clicked with the ’04 team, and he said he saw that same moment with this team. Hype train is at top speed right now…

You could be right, I tuned in half way through so I’m not certain who it was. Still has me stoked for the season to start.
