  Let’s hope this Joseph can also run almost two miles through difficult terrain and defend himself against violent assailants while carrying 50 pounds of added weight.

    I carried about twice that in Marines while running further than 2 miles. These guys are much better athletes than Marines are. It’s not unprecedented.

    It’s all about being the star of your own show. Keeping that commitment for the next 2+ years and actually signing is something to worry about down the road.
    
    The bigger issue is why are “committable” offers allowed to go out before a kid is a junior in high school?
